All fairs are unique from one another. But in a number of ways, all fairs are similar. They all play host to exhibits and act as a means of letting the community have a good look at itself. Most deal with parking, admissions operations, food concessions, maintenance, and... the list goes on. This page is intended to act as a clearing house for information on the types of resources fairs use. The hope is that all those who frequent these pages will offer information on sources they've found useful, including contact names, phone numbers, and other pertinent details. You are invited to submit as many resources as you would like by completing our quick and easy on-line submittal form. All we ask is that submittals be for resources you've found useful. Please refrain from using this area for promotion of your own business or organization. There's plenty of room for that via our FREE classified ads section Please take all the time you want in viewing our Resource List! |

State Rules for California Fairs
Although technically these competitive exhibit rules only apply to California Fairs, there is quite a bit contained in them that may be of use to fairs in other locations. They're made available here in Adobe Acrobat PDF format (download 1999 State Rules (175K) or 2000 State Rules (75K)).

POETRY CONTEST INFORMATION
I will provide free information and possible help to Fairs wanting to start POETRY CONTESTS. I have directed POETRY CONTESTS for State and County Fairs. I am not looking for employment; just action as a resource. Poetry Contests have become popular and promote literacy. They are especially exciting for children.
